Beach Castle Resort #1
  • “Can't beat the location.  The beach access, walking distance to tennis, pickleball, restaurants, and sunsets outweigh the old grout, and tired linens and appliances.  Chairs, beach towels, and umbrellas provided.  Owners as well as management really seem to want your vacation to be great and that counts for a lot!”

It is a beach place though so the old grout is overshadowed by the lovely sunset view. The kitchen is stocked well although we did have to move some things around to make a room for food storage…..no biggie. We have booked for next year. RVA is very helpful.”

  • “My daughter and I enjoyed our stay at Beach Castle in Unit 3. It has everything to offer, from comfortable beds to plenty of linens. I especially appreciate the firm mattress since I have spine problems. The location and decor are lovely. We have adhered to the Covid restrictions avidly, mostly staying at home except for necessary trips to the store or medical appointments. We do not eat out. The cleanliness and sanitation of our unit and the entire complex is evident. The full kitchen allows the convenience of preparing our own meals so we could still isolate. We have been vacationing at Beach Castle since the early 90s. We will continue to return. Thank you for a safe, quiet, and restful stay. It was much needed after what has been an extremely stressful year.”
  • “We were planning on visiting family on Long Boat Key and at the last minute decided to try and upgrade our accommodations from our hotel room in Sarasota. I was hesitant when my husband showed me the listing, but it indicated that it was   waterfront, so... we went for it. Opening the door was a great surprise as the furniture was a nice upgrade from the photo. Also, it had seemed that we would not really be able to see the Gulf from our room because of the landscaping, but in fact it was a great view. Our two Adirondack Chairs and screened porch provided us with ample opportunity to enjoy the sunsets, without having to leave #3.”

  • “Wow! We had such a fabulous time. I had stayed in this unit 2 years ago with my sisters and mom and wanted to bring my husband and kids this time. We can’t describe how amazing it was. The views, the location, the facility. It was all exactly what we hoped for. We will for sure be back. We already miss getting up, sitting outside eating our breakfast and then heading to the beach. This time we decided not to rent a car so that we could just focus on staying at the property and going to the beach. We’re so glad we did bc we were able to use the bikes provided and there were several great restaurants within walking distance. Our favorite place to eat was Euphemia Haye! Hands down one of our favorite restaurants that we’ve ever been to. We decided to order our groceries from Publix and they delivered. We also got a Uber one day to go to St Armands, but other than that we were at the beach and loved every minute of it. There was really no need to go explore anything else. We had everything we needed. The chairs the umbrellas beach towels. I loved how everything was included so we didn’t have to buy it or bring it from home. It makes it so easy to travel. Looking forward to the next time.”

We also loved being able to walk on the pier across the street!  We got to see a momma and baby manatee.  We had a wonderful time!”

  • “My wife and I rented "#4 Castle Beach condo for a much needed post vaccine vacation and our daughter found this rental as one option. So glad we selected this Beach Castle property. The location is amazing, so close to the beach with a spectacular view of amazing Gulf sunsets. Wonderful screened-in porch overlooking the beach. Numerous free chairs and beach umbrellas and the pool (located across the street) was just perfect. Also, across the street there are 3 good restaurants and an ice cream parlor. Only downside was I think I gained 10 pounds. We would heartily recommend condos 1-4 at Beach Castle for those who want a nice condo with and ocean view.”

This is the first time we stayed on the gulf side and the condo and views were awesome.  I would suggest that they look into a few more forks and knives as we did have to continually wash them for the next meal.  Overall it was a wonderful  week! The staff is on top of things and very friendly.”

  • “The area and location are great. The property manager was excellent. The unit was nice and a great size and layout. When we arrived the unit was not ready to occupy because they were not finished cleaning. It was hot and kids were irritable but the property manager did all he could to rush and made some concessions which was wonderful. Kids were in the unit above but we did not hear them the entire stay which is rare. The location is wonderful. We will stay here again.”

Any of the apartments are steps from the beach, it's just a matter of crossing the street or there are 4 options that you can stay right at the beach. Beach was beautiful!!! There are no bars and restaurants with walking distance, but we didn't care about that!”

  • “I love LBK. This was my first stay at Beach Castle as we were adding a few days onto our time-share vacation and needed to rent for just a few nights. This unit is AWESOME. Decorations are so tasteful and the kitchen was well stocked. We loved that the second bedroom had bigger beds than twins for our three kids. This unit is the closest one to the pool which was a hit for our kiddos. Anytime we need to add days to the front or back end of our LBK timeshare in the future we will be staying here! The complex is also fantastic. They were very relaxed and I love that. They had umbrellas to borrow for the beach and the check out process was simply to take it out and return it when you are done...that's what I want from a vacation - no forms or high maintenance people watching my every move. Im not usually real tuned into that kind of thing, but I just was impressed that the management felt more like family than 'overseers'. They were kind and welcoming.”
  • “We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Beach Castle #11! Went for a last minute weekend celebration July 23 - 26, for my daughter's birthday and felt like we found paradise. The unit is very comfortable and I liked the decor. Very, very clean and well maintained. Check in was a breeze, friendly front office. We made good use of the beach chairs, beach towels and awesome beach umbrellas provided. I loved the beach umbrella so much I'm trying to find an exact one to buy for myself! Longboat is very chill, very relaxed. The beach was clean and absolutely not crowded at all. It was exactly what we were looking for. The beds in the unit were spacious and comfortable, the bathrooms as well. A nicely functional kitchen with all the essentials plus provided. Publix was about a 5 minute ride away, easily accessed. We enjoyed a nice lunch at Blue Dolphin Cafe which is next down the road. For a fabulously decadent dinner we were delighted to find a gem at Euphemia Haye Restaurant. If you're looking to treat yourself to a special evening, do not pass this up. One of the best dinners we've experienced, not to mention excellent service and a sweet dessert bar upstairs. We are all looking forward to returning again to Beach Castle and #11!”
 
Beach Castle Resort #12
  • “We enjoyed our stay at the Beach Castle Resort because it offered the convenience of a big family group staying together at a very affordable cost.  There were accommodations for all and plenty of space for the teenagers to hang out together or simply play with their digital devices with the free WIFI connections.  The beach was perfect!  Not crowded at all--we had our own family space right in front of the beach and with lounge chairs, towels, and umbrellas included and easily found by the beach.  The water was warm and clean of seaweed. We saw dolphins swimming by and found many beautiful shells by the seashore.  The ambiance was totally family-friendly. The pool was kept nice and warm.  Everything was very clean inside and out.  Masks were worn by the service crew and at the front desk all precautions were being taken.  The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was equipped with all the utensils we needed to cook in every day. Overall we are extremely satisfied with our stay and are planning to go back there for the Labor Day Weekend in September!”

Nice private beach for Beach Castle renters with beach chairs and umbrellas. Responsive management and well maintained. We did have a problem with the A/C. I contacted RVA after hours and they had a repairman on the premises within 90 minutes. A/C was fixed within 30 minutes.”

It had all the basic amenities that we needed for our trip. The access to the resort exclusive private beach was a short 2 min walk. The resort also provided complimentary beach umbrellas and chairs. We will surely reconsider coming back for yet another trip to longboat Key.”

  • “Our family had a wonderful stay in Unit 12 and we are already trying to figure out when we can go back! It is beautifully decorated, well appointed, and everything was in updated, clean, and working condition. We had no issues at all (once we figured out the key - bottom lock, turn all the way and then push) and loved the kid friendly extras including coloring books, books, games, and a few water toys. The kitchen was loaded with plenty of table service, cookware, and appliances. You can tell the new owners are attentive to detail and have done a great job revamping this unit. The grounds are beautifully kept and the staff was kind and courteous. We loved being able to walk to the beach and peek in at the pool to make sure our kids splashing wouldn’t bother others - we had it to ourselves most of the time which was lovely! Our only complaint is that our stay was too short! Highly recommend - 5 stars!”

Having the chairs at the beach was real convince and we just grabbed an umbrella from the pool to take over. We will definitely be back to stay at beach castle and I'm sure will visit Unit 14 again as well.”

Our condo (#14) was super clean and perfect for the three of us. Loved the jungle like background on the lanai. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen was stocked with just about everything you would need. If you’re going to grocery shop prior to arrival….bring salt/pepper, oil, sandwich bags, laundry detergent because those are not stocked. Thanks for you allowing us to stay in your home….I’ve talked my husband into moving to Sarasota because of our stay.”

The unit was perfect size for a couple, was in a great location with easy access to the Bay and Gulf Beaches, along with stores and restaurants. The private screened patio was great and the unit was well furnished and clean. Complimentary washers and dryers just downstairs were a nice plus, along with the complimentary gas grills at either end of the property. On site management was excellent. The only minor suggestion would be the addition of some basic spices and oils in the kitchen for those who want to cook. Salt and Pepper were the only spices provided.”

The beds are luxurious and so comfortable. The laundry room is a few steps away from your home. They have plenty of washers and dryer’s so you can get all your laundry done at once. The ocean is so close and the bay is just over your shoulder. You really have it all when you stay at beach castle.”

However, for more range of choice Anna Maria island and further south on Longboat are your best bets. Overall, we highly recommend and would return!

Pool was warm enough to swim in even though weather was slightly cooler and the hot tub actually hot, unlike some "spas" that are advertised on vrbo that are just slightly warmer water than the pool. Beach was great and our boys caught several trout from the pier on the Bayside. The pier was a bit rickety, but it appeared as though it may have been in the process of being repaired. Overall, we would recommend staying at this property and would likely stay here again.”

The condo was immaculate, beautifully decorated, and stocked with everything we could possibly need (except food, that was our responsibility). We were pleased to see assigned parking, that was literally right outside our door. It was so relaxing to sit in the lanai and listen to the sounds of birds and a water fountain nearby. The property manager (Ted) was very helpful and nice. We hadn't realized there was a private beach for the condos on the gulf side, just across the street. It was beautiful and an easy walk, across the street, especially because there is a stop and go flashing light for pedestrians. The pool was big, unfortunately, we didn't have time to use it. We would definitely book this again, if the opportunity comes up.”

There were sand toys in the closet of the condo, beach umbrellas available in the pool area, and lounge chairs for our use on the beach. The pool water was warm even in December and the hot tub temp was perfect. The decor of the condo was beautiful! The laundry room is close and free of charge. There was only one dryer working while we were there and it took forever I hopefully they get that fixed. Overall no complaints though since the laundry was free. We really enjoyed our stay at this location. The beach was beautiful and not crowded at all!!! Would highly recommend! We messaged them that day inquiring an early arrival time since we were driving and making good time and they were able to accommodate!!!”

We enjoyed fishing off the pier on the bay and walking along and playing in the ocean - both only a couple minutes walk from the room. Our kids loved the pool which was heated and clean.  Would definitely stay here again next time we choose to visit Longboat Key!”

  • “The RVA people were very helpful, the website showed furnishings, and physical placement of the unit, like near the pool, facing East, view from porch.  The unit we rented had been repainted and had new furniture and was very neat, fun pictures, pillows, complete kitchen, the only thing we missed was the table on the patio to play cards, but we made do with the coffee table”

Several local restaurants (including Harry’s), an ice cream parlor, and a gift boutique are all within easy walking distance. The Publix supermarket is about 4 miles away. Ted, the manager, was very friendly and accommodating. This condo setting is perfect for both families and/or a romantic getaway because each the condos are spaced in a way that gives them each privacy. The worse thing about this trip was when we had to leave. I can’t wait to return!!!”
